Mr. Radscheit completed his training as a gardener's assistant in the field of flower and ornamental plant cultivation in the Botanical Garden of the University of Bonn. A grant from the Federal Ministry of Education and Science made it possible to do an annual internship at the Royal Horticultural Society in Wisley (England). He then studied horticulture and horticultural history in the integrated course at the School of Horticulture in Kew Gardens and obtained the Kew Diploma with distinction. A grant from Kew Gardens enabled him to obtain a Master of Science in European Horticulture at the Agrarian Hoogeschool in the Netherlands. At the Royal Horticultural Society in London, he passed the practical gardener examination. He regularly organizes and leads garden trips to England, Scotland and Ireland. Mr. Radscheit completed his training as a travel companion at the German Institute for Tourism in Berlin and passed the tour guide examination of the German Tourism Association at the University of Bremen. He is also still a practicing paramedic and trains first aid and medical services at the German Red Cross. For many years he was the technical director of the Botanical Gardens at the University of Bonn. He currently works for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in Wisley Garden as a garden manager.
